Both exams are designed for IT professionals who coordinate or manage small-to-medium-sized projects, inside and outside of IT. The exams test your ability to:

- Manage the project life cycle

- Ensure appropriate communication

- Manage resources and stakeholders

- Maintain project documentation

 The exams are vendor-neutral, meaning they are not tied to any specific project management framework or methodology. However, they do cover some basic aspects of Agile methodology, which is widely used in IT projects.

What are the differences between the CompTIA Project+ PK0-004 and PK0-005 exams?

The CompTIA Project+ PK0-005 exam has been updated to reflect the latest technologies and industry trends in IT project management. According to CompTIA, some of the main differences between the two exams are:

- The PK0-005 exam has more focus on an IT project environment, technical terms, Agile and risk management.

- The PK0-005 exam has a different distribution of exam domains and weights than the PK0-004 exam.

Both exams can be taken online or at a Pearson VUE testing center. The exam fee is $358 USD for both exams.
